  3. I think if it was me I would leave the roof insert in as I think it makes it look good.

Pretty much done stripping paint. Probably going to be in the market for a new deck lid the one for this car isn't so hot. I'd have to skin and replace prolly bottom third on inside.

  6. Me too. Someone went to a lot of trouble to make that happen, and I think it's a desirable modification.

Dino64- I started off by scotch brighting area I wanted to strip then I apply the aircraft paint stripper ( x3 there was 3 layers.. primer, original black and then the light blue) that took it to dirty metal then I hit it with 60 grit real fast to knock off stuff that didn't get stripped, then hit it with 80 grit to get a uniform surface. Then I used a wire wheel on drill to get stuff that stuck in belt and body lines. Once panels are clean I used PHIX a metal conditioner that works wonders... spray that over panel let sit for about a minute or two then scrub the hell out of it with scotch Brite pad once scrubbed real good wipe down with paper towel and it'll leave a white residue behind and that protects the metal. The driver side quarter is my first panel I started on about a month ago and no surface rust at all

Had to throw some primer on. My garage isn't very bare metal friendly Even with the PHIX on it. Pretty much at a stand still till I get 32 rails

  14. Thanks Ryan for liking my build and keep moving forward on this one as it will be nice when finished. Just remember Rome was not built in a day. Take your time, but try and get something done on it every week (or day if you can) no matter how small, but keep it going.
