This is my crown. Seats and rest at Uphostery shop. Have mercury wagon taillights and turnpike skirts. Will be nosed and decked shaved doors. The black crown was my dads in the early 60s.

Not a crown (obviously), but killer...Frank Monteleon's Barris build. Check the movie "Hot CAR Girl". (EDIT)

image.jpeg Inside and underneath make modern if you want but it's hard for me not to like what Ford did in '55 & '56. My dad had a new '55 Sunliner and my mom had a new '56 Victoria and I started driving in '59. Bought my favorite one in 2012.

Those have been a favorite since the 55 came out new when I was 9 years old. Never could find one I could afford though.

Good to see you making some progress on that car. Years ago I bought a 56 Crown Vic roof off a friend in hopes of finding a Victoria hardtop to turn into a crown but someone in BC came down and offered a good chunk of change for the roof when I was short on change. Kicked myself ever since.

Glass tops look cool but even on a relatively nice day, 65 degrees, you cook inside. The zip in liners do not do much to help either. But they do look cool!

  20. I've always liked the Crown Victoria.
Guess it's the bling thing on the roof.
Anyway, keep up the good work, I like the direction your going in.

These make such nice customs, with so few changes.
Yours seems to be coming along nicely.

I always dug the frenched Merc lights on the A-Bros. "Victorian". (Save on re-chroming! :D)

love the 55-56 fords, i'm building a '55 Mainline into a Kustom, did some simple stuff like '59 Buick Taillights and '55 Plymouth Grille to start with, now working on things outside the box. Will be lowering the roof in the future.....

Here is a '56 Vicky that they chopped the top on 6 inches, alittle too much for my taste

Also did some funky rear end treatment....in my opinion its an example of one of them things that just because you can doesn't mean you should

First car I ever fell in love with was a '56 Crown Victoria that my friend's father brought home in the Spring of '56. Triple black - with the crown, it just looked beautiful to this ten year old kid. Maybe after my 3W project is done, I'll find the right '56 !

Beautiful cars those Crown Vic's! NOT that I'd like to see it done, but it would seem they would lend themselves to a Ranchero conversion fairly easily. Personally, I don't think it should be done to one of these cars however, too nice/rare. In high school (66-69), I had a classmate who always had Crown Vic's, and the first thing he would do with one, was to install an I-Beam axle under them. He probably did a half dozen with axles. Second was a tear-drop hood scoop. I always thought he was ruining a good car, still do, and I'm primarily a Chevrolet guy. I am Butch/56sedandelivery.

The Red 55 with the flames is from Henderson NV, owned by Greg "Greaser" Bashaw. I believe He is the original owner.
