My grandpa & aunt near Brookings, Oregon....about 1940....grandpa was a logger, and hardly EVER took time off...but when he did, he loved to drive to the coast and 'breathe the air' he used to say....I sure so miss him! 001.jpg

Wait a minute! No one cutting others off while yakking / yelling into a cell phone while texting at the same time as sucking down a double something-or-other latte while shaving and applying makeup? No road rage? No gun shots? How civilized things were back then.

I guess if that grill provides enough air for a Studebaker, it ought to be enough for a Ford?

Room were good places to repair 4-speeds and Old rear-ends. Sleep was not an option when racing.

That looks like the idea, but the grille came from this:

Might look even better if the Ford was sectioned a few inches.

Maybe a Chamber Of Commerce photo. Or they're trying to drum up business by lulling the public into a false sense of security.

  18. You can tell he's a logger by the cut cuffs on his pants. Also usually a small cut on the seam.

  21. America's first big-selling compact was the Rambler American. This is the 1955 station wagon variant of the car, still called the Nash Rambler at this point. By 1958, the Nash and Hudson names, the two nameplates that merged to form American Motors.
