Rebuilding front suspension on my 55 Century. Lower steering knuckle bushing needs replacing but I can't remove it from the knuckle. I torched/iced to break it loose, no luck. Used my impact, no luck. Any suggestions?

When I took the knuckle off, the lower outer shaft was worn really badly. New outer shaft in old bushing has a huge amount of play. 1457823000677.jpg [/IMG][/IMG]

Have you tried turning it the other way, maybe left hand threads?

You need a bigger wrench, it will come out. Lefty-loosey, nothing fancy here.

Be sure it goes back in to the correct torque. See your factory service manual. I had a factory-installed one wobble out and ruin the larger part.

I may have good used ones if you need it...

If you are in SoCal, I have parts...
