What is the base coat you laid down first? Looks like copper.

Black basecoat. Then this ppg omni color. " copper orange " ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1460579386.638651.jpg it was an out of the book color ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1460579396.340307.jpg
And then mixed in some house of color candy root beer concentrate in shop line clear. Fogged that in around the belt line and Windows and a few other spots. Then buried it all in 4 coats of clear and watched the bugs do their death crawl.

I really like that copper color. Thinking about that color with black fenders and running boards on my Willys.

On your rain gutters did you double over the outside bend or is it a single 90 degree bend up and that's it?

I think it's just a staple shaped channel with the edge your asking about finished but not folded over if I'm understanding your question correctly.

Correct. I did not " hem" the outside edge. But the material is thick enough and sheared so it doesn't have a knife edge ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1460659243.563689.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1460659279.052364.jpg

Hard to believe what a major change that '32 header panel and posts make to a Model "A"!
Your car is friggin' PISSAH! ( highest compliment you can get here in the NawthEast , FYI)

Ride safe, and drive the wheels of that gem!
( and don't forget a thread on that roadster when you get going on it)
    Nice job.

Thanks for the kind words on the "cah". I'm wicked happy with it ( my mom was born and raised on the cape in Sandwich Mass, she just moved back after 30 miserable years in Texas! Haha love ya ma!). The roadster is gonna be pretty neat but I gotta stay focused on this one and see it through...damn devilish details!

Been romping this thing as a daily driver for the past few weeks. To hell with traffic and the texas sun. But man there is nothing like the drive to the shop in the morning. Air is cool and the roads are clear. Picking up some tacos. IMG_1470826871.742807.jpg

I like what you did with the windshield swing out.

  13. I love the windshield on this thing! It's becoming harder and harder not to cut the header and windshield opening out of my un-built 32 sedan for my 31 that i'm putting together now!!

image.jpeg Do it!!!! Rebuilding the doors was the hardest part. Find a donor 32 -34 ford truck door for the inner radius pieces. They are the same inside radius.... Some pie cutting, rebuilding the window channel and BAM!
