Thank you sir! I appreciate it. I really like your car btw. The grille in it looks killer! and i really like how you did your skirts! Its a really neat car. But that was my plan for this summer, just save as much money as possible and start working on it next winter. I unfortunately don't have a garage at my house. I had to tarp it all winter. I've been working on it in my driveway lol (sometime you have to do what you have to do) Since then I have put some rustoleum on the rusted spots. My interior is all new. Its white and dark blue. So yeah, for it to be my first car, its not a bad starter project i don't think! My goal is to get it on the rode this month and have some fun in it this summer!

Thank ya sir! I wanted to tell you that the original color was the same as your 56 actually! I really wish the guy that owned it before me would've left it alone. I can't stand the blue thats on it now lol but I will change it eventually! Yeah I have tarps on her when I'm not working on it! I hit the rust spots with just some rustoleum for now. Yeah I just want to get her on the road ASAP. I figured find a good running motor and just put it in their for now. Next winter is when I will really start doing stuff to her!

Thanx for the compliment Jacob. Since you are relatively new here, I didn't know if you'd seen my build thread on my Cadillac...it's quite long so plan on spending some time reading and looking at pix. The first few pages have some strange "wording" because of the last time Ryan changed servers or did updates (or whatever he did), but it's not all like that...!!! You can see how I built the grille by going to the thread...Here's the link: http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/the-best-1955-cadillac-build.329070/#post-3539178

Stay at the Cadillac...you really don't need a garage...we used to build all our cars under the shade tree...!!!

All those cars are gorgeous! It is a shame what GM did to the brand. Or most of their brands to think of it.

Thanx MotoV8n...My momma told me years ago "If you can't say something nice, make sure you keep your trap shut or I'll stuff your socks in it" or something like that. There's no sense tearing someone or something down and I've never understood why anyone does that. Words of encouragement get more done than hate does...!!!

There aren't many 17 year-olds these days that are into cars, most of them are into electronic games, cell phones and sitting inside in front of a TV and not even wanting a driver's license...Jacob is an exception and I certainly hope he realizes his dream.

Here's my 63' coupe. It's been almost 14 years since I bought this when I lived in Ohio. Minus the wheels, tires and put the air ride in it was just like this. It's finally coming to where I live near Chicago this weekend. Very excited to get this on the road. I drove it last time I visited back home for the first time, well with brakes at least. Drove it once across town with just the E brake and popping it in neutral to stop it. Fun times when your dumb and in your early twenties.

I know I posted a picture of my 64 Caddy from a couple of years ago. This photo was taken this past weekend at Jalopyrama by Lyle Willets. His pictures make this old heap look good..............and the factory paint still shines after 53 years the Caddy.jpg
