I was looking for a small alternator to mount low on my 27.
I found a late 80s Chevy sprint 55 amp alternator at a wrecking yard ($50 with pigtail).
    My friend Ron Evans built a A-002.JPG A-003.JPG A-004.JPG A-005.JPG A-006.JPG stainless v belt pulley for me.

I have been using these alternators for probably 10 years. For a basic hotrod that's all that's needed. They are on many applications. My outboard even has one. Always liked this truck!

How many wires does it need? Is the regulator external?
