Great looking car, paint, color, stance, interior nailed it all.

What kind / brand paint did you use?

The base coat is BASF limco Ermine white with Transtar clearcoat.
Bought all the materials from a local supply store in Akron called United Sales..

Yep i had him drive it the other night, he was grinnin ear to ear! haha

In the pics it has 2” drop spindles with 2 coils cut from the original springs. The original springs were too weak and would bottom out, so my buddy let me try a set of new 55 coils. I cut one coil from them and it sits the same height as the cut originals but rides WAY better and without bottoming out!

Very nice. Used BASF Limco 3 on my 62 Impala wagon. Good product at a reasonable price. Used 2" drop spindles as well. Great minds think alike.

I learned to drive in a white 61 Chev and still appreciate their good lines. Congratulations on completing a very nice 1961. Definitely a well done.

Curious about your wheel/tire package. I like the way the rears fill the space. Awesome looking 61.

It took me a while to find a combo that looked right and not narrow footed. Rear wheels are wheel Vintique 15x8 with 275 60 nitto drag radials. Fronts are 55 chevy 15x5 205 75s

Man, the more pics I see of this car, the more I like it. You really did it up right. When I was a pup, a guy up the street had a maroon '61 Belair (thin side trim)bubble, W motor, 4spd. Use to let me hang around his garage, the local gearhead gathering place. I later had a '62 bubble for a while in H.S, sold it before I got my license. :(
    I'm a fan, nice job.
