So I managed to get some more work done this weekend. Started putting in the wood kit! It sure takes awhile to get everything to fit nice. I've had to cut and trim every piece so far except for the wood around the rear window. Slowly but surely it's coming along!
Looks great. All the fitting sure is a pain though. I did my coupe this past summer. Its like the Hokie Pokie!!! You put the first board in, you take the first board out.....!!!!
I'd say it's about time for an update. I've been able to put in some time on the model "eh" over the past few weekends now that I'm officially all finished school!! Still working on the wood kit but I should have it completed next weekend. I'll let some pictures do the rest of the talking haha.
Nice find its looking good , enjoy the photos of the wood install as I'm doing one on my 28 . Keep up the good work !
This past weekend I finally managed to find some time to put into the tudor. Funny how your time seems to disappear when you've got a girlfriend and just bought your first house! But back to the car lol. Not much of an update but I did get the wood kits all finished up, installed a set of new running boards and got the rear quarter windows in.
Looks good! That car has come a ways. Are you planning on towing your trailer around with it now? That's quite the shop, I hope to get one like it when I buy my house.
Just wondering.... On a scale of 1 ta 10... Are ya thinkin' that You'll make it back to the fifties this year??
Hmmm.......I would say I'm around a 7.5 right now! Hopefully the old model "eh" will make it down there this year.
Thanks! I was pretty fortunate to find this car, and for it to be as solid as it is! I had bought the wood kits from a good friend of mine. I'm not 100% sure where he acquired them from but I think they were ordered through George Moir Auto Parts out of Alberta.
A little more progress was made over the weekend. I picked up a sheet of 3/4" fir plywood to make myself new floorboards and seat frames. I traced out the pieces I needed for a seat frame from one I already had. Came out not to bad I think!
Next up was to remove the old floorboards so I could put new ones in. Out with the old and in with the new lol.
