    Scott’s car looks quite good,
But not as good as it could,
    Nothing under hood...

 "That is a Haiku Scott." :D

There once was a Ford from Sarnia
That ran so fast it alarmed ya
And catch it you could not
Because of its mighty hole shot
If you see it you better run! It'll harm ya.;)

    Scott

    Ps:That was a limerick.lol

I'm not nearly as "Zen" as you Brother.

On a more serious note,I tried to load Mama and the Sprouts into the truck today,to take them to the Henry Ford Museum for some inspiration from the Blue Oval Mecca, but the weather turned extremely bad,and I had already switched the truck from it's winter wheel/tire combo to the "Straight Outta Compton" wheel/tire combo,so it was a no go.lol

    We'll try it again soon

Now just gonna wetsand and buff it out and I'll be taking it back home for the rest of the final assembly. Want to say thanks to my fellow Bandits (My brother Joe,Big E,Art) for all the help this weekend couldn't have gotten it this far along with out the help.

You can do some internal bracing on a drop-out housing like that too.
Ric showed me a couple cool tricks to strengthen them that involve minimal time, effort, and cost, and they also preserve the stock look.
Inside the housing you can weld flat plate with holes cut for the axles to run through, and front to back you can stiffen it up with 3/4" pipe nipples welded in to keep the mounting flange from twisting.
I use old 70's/early 80's F-150 housings so the axles tubes don't twist. They weigh a ton,but the wall thickness on the tubes is better than double. If you can twist one of these you're an animal!:)

I seem to remember one of the Southeast Gasser build threads showed how to beef them up but not sure I would be able to find that.
For this car I am not sure how much help it will need.
