Anyone have more pics of that 59? Particularly the interior and engine?

None of the interior or trunk. I loved that car.

How about the downstairs awards? Is there a list of who won what? I know what Littleman and Plowboy won, but thats about all.

    Hey Rashy,

I found some pictures this morning on www.hotrodhotline.com
I would love to see the '59 in person with the '56 Chevy side chrome....

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

and the photos do NOT do it justice. The car is just breath-taking.....but I guess the doors didn't have an absolutly perfect fit. Since one was open the whole time it was hard to tell. The builder was a "younger" guy named Mark from the Chicago area. Since it's a mid-west car I'm hoping to see it up close and personal this summer at other shows. Looking forward to seeing what this guy builds next.

The trunk was pretty cool with a power trunk lid INSIDE the power trunk. Yep, the trunk was big enough to have 2 trunks.:D

It took my breath away, but I favor fin'd up cars. I would like to see the
car with the doors shut, so we could check out how the '56 chrome works
on the '59. It looks like the door is shut on the other side, so I was hoping
that someone had a picture of the other side.

    Happy Trails,

I liked the '59 but the rear rims and stance completely killed the flow of the car. A smaller diameter rim and high profile rear tire would have complemented the lines better in my opinion. Otherwise it is beautifull.

This years Ridler Award winner looks alot like the Impression that won last year, it even has the same wheels, seems like the judges have a predisposition towards cars that look like this. KK

    I agree Keith,

I was shocked to see that it had won. I think that the "WOW" factor is gone
in judging shows. Because this is a lost art, everyone tries to re-create the
    same thing over and over....

I thought the Willys truck & the '59 had the WOW factor for me...

HA,HA,HA,HA Uhhhh Thanks D, I was wanting to ask for a cookie but I guess
that is out of the question.

Thanks for the picture (I won't tell Denise....) The '56 side chrome
looks kool on the '59. I guess what doesn't look kool with '56 Chevy
side chrome. This is the "WOW" factor that I'm talking about...

    Happy Trails,

    Mick

Clark,it was great to meet ya and lots of other HAMBers at the show...Wearing a HAMB tee makes it a lot easier to find other HAMBers LOL
I finally ran Foose down as we were leaving the hall..
Hope to run into ya again ..maybe at the rat rod show the same weekend as the Hershey show.
