I need help to identify the ribbed steel roof on a '32sedan we are starting to rebuild. Best info I have is the car was built by a hot rod shop in the Omaha, NE area prior to 1996. The body work on the roof installation was first rate! The car was red, full fendered, glass fenders, and ended up in the Portland, OR area, where I found it. There are eight (8) ribs total. The center six ribs are 65" long and the outer two ribs are 64-1/2" long. Ribs are spaced 6-1/4" center-to-center. Each rib is 5/8" wide at the base and approximately 5/16" high, with a slight radius at the ridge of each rib. I've been told they are '58 Ford station wagon but I'm not sure. I appreciate any help. Thanks.
Couldn't say for sure but I know the '61 Chevy station wagon roofs were popular for many years. Might compare.
Select auto in Omaha has done a number of rods, might be worth a try? Sent from my XT1254 using H.A.M.B. mobile app
Good point on the innies versus outies.....I found a photo of a 58 Ford and it looked like an innie but wasn't sure
Thanks for the help guys. Photos of 60 to 62 Chev station wagons look pretty close. I'll try to find some 60's GM van photos

looks like 60-62 gm 64 went to 5ribs with the center rib longer in the middle and got shorter as they went out
there is a 62 belair wagon on ebay it has 8 ribs. the one i put in my delivery is off a 64 chevy wagon and it has 5 ribs
Thanks much for the info. We might be indirectly creating a thread for the different types of roofs available....lots of variables
