  3. Got six on my avatar, only running the outside four, the center ones are not in use, I've not had problems with them other then getting the right power valves, doing great now. Love your car, a build to be proud of!

Must be just me then, or you are lucky not to have troubles :)
Four, i believe is much more suited to driving on the road. I'm tempted to go down two or three myself !

Thanks i'm pleased with how the body turned out. The work being done on my car at Buckland is looking amazing, certainly will be proud when it comes back.

Wow-go big or go home. You went big. Six inches would be more than I would've done, but it wasn't me that did (or could) it. Great car. The chop makes the hood look a little longer to my eye, which is a good thing. Great colors on the car. Got to be twice as hard doing it on the other side of the pond. Kudos to you.

Thanks, i was worried at first about chopping it so much, but in the end i love it, and i fit in it easily ! I always planned on changing the color as green is my least favourite, but it's grown on me and looks kind of cool.

The only bad thing about being over here is everything... and double the cost :D

Just seen this thread for the first time today - wow!
Great job of showing us how to do a hard chop on a 30 A Coupe. Lots of pics, expressing your thoughts as you proceeded. Very helpful for anyone else contemplating the same (or similar) thing.
Car looks great and with the Hemi and QC, you will have a car that would be envied anywhere around the world.
    Thanks for posting.

I went to see it yesterday, first time I've seen it all stripped. Really pleased to see I bought a great car, the chassis has come up looking like new. They have started making the centre cross members, but I didn't get a picture ! I'm sure I'll have some more soon ! Thanks for taking an interest, there will be updates coming !

More pictures hot out of the camera from Buckland.
Centre cross member is now in with pedals mounted and master cylinders.
Some lovely curves and shapes in the cross members, very cool looking !

  28. Good job on the chop. Kind of funny how what appears to be straight is actually slight taper, so you need to do all the slicing and dicing. Hemi looks great, doesn't it require firewall mods for the length? Looks like your shop Bucklands is doing some nice work.

On my COE, I only did 4 inch chop, but spent nearly as much time on the vent windows as the basic top chop. Getting those so they open and close was a lot of work and tweaking. Butit is so much nicer with them and a more finished chop having real working vent windows. Your coupe of course does not have that vent window issue.

Thanks i'm very pleased with my chop and now very aware of how difficult chopping tops is... and mine is the easiest to chop ! Those little details like spending time on your window vents are what make a truley great chop.

Yery pleased also with the work Buckland are doing. Funny, we were just discussing the firewall issue, a major problem with keeping the stock frame, i think there is about four inches difference between my old '32 and the space available in the '30. I'd like to keep the firewall, but it will need cutting up, reversing or both and probably losing the tank which will be a shame, i'll have some pictures when the time comes. I wanted the Hemi so something has to give unfortunatly !
