Hello I have a 30 model a frame with 3in z. And 4in drop axle. I have 28 3/4in bias plys on the front would a 31in be ok to run on the back? Thanks
Most run that height tyres. Should be okay, but more details needed. All relates to diff ratios and gearbox ratios.
Are you asking if you can run a taller tire on rear , Biger then front , Yes ! As long as it a bias also ,
I just have roller Tires on there now. I have 28 3/4 just wondering if I can run a 31in on the rear. Have to glass wheels wells back in previous owner cut them out. Thanks
Personally, I would think of running a smaller front tire, 28 3/4" is a fairly tall tire, not sure you'll notice that much difference with a 31" rear tire if you're looking for a rubber rake. Mick
just read some threads, most people run a 550-16 or 600-16 up front and 700-16 or 750 -16 out back I have 600's in front and 750's on rear I think the 750's are around 31" tall. so the answer is yes.
.............14" rear Z, 12" stretch 560x15 bias frnt, 700x16 bias on rear(note) run 28-32 psi all the way around on bias ply tires to eliminate squirreling)
14' rear Z, 12' front stretch.......560x15 frnt,700x16 all bias ply (note: run 28-32 psi in all to minimize or eliminate squirreling with bias ply tires) Handles great.
I believe a 4.50 is 24" in diameter. it works really well with a 7.00x16 (30" approx.) on the rear. 7.50's start to get close to 31". There is a lot of open space at the back of a roadster...fill it up.
4.50/4.75x16 front, 7.50x16 rear.. and I only have like, a 2"z Sent from my SM-G920V using H.A.M.B. mobile app
If the bolt patterns are the same, I would put the front tires on the rear and go with a 4.75-5.25 on the front. What axle ratio and transmission are you running? Truthfully, that may be the deciding factor.
