Is this guy kidding, That steering wheel looks like it was out of a Taurus or Aerostar, we can only hope someone will tell him how wrong that is.

That's such a beautiful car. Everything right. Then wham!!! I reckon whoever fitted that column and wheel should be issued a court order preventing him from going within 100 yrds of any car over 30 years of age.
Damn I just can't believe it.

I would be willing to bet that he bought the car......all nice and all and then he changed the wheel.........because there is ...No way ...the builder of that roadster ... put that ugly wheel in the car IMHO...

You see it all the time......when a car changes hands.........the new guy has to do something to it.......most often hurting it...but nonetheless....changing it...

  21. Curious. You pay $1,500 for a '46 fairly done: M-II, SBC, TH350, Walker rad, Hotchkiss rear, 12,000 miles under it's belt and all, yet complain bitterly about the easy-to-change STEERING wheel...???

BTW, it is definitely a BUICK column....no cornering light connectors on the TS switch...and it had a '70 Buick wheel on it.

Hah! that's the exact steering wheel in my 87 mustang. Those controls are for cruise control unless he converted them to radio controls. That wheel looks ugly enough in my car but daamn thats out of place in that car.

That’s more than just ugly, it’s down right disturbing.

Every time someone looks at that picture, a kitten dies.

Make a note to myself: Change the Dakota steering wheel in my "new" ride before the HAMB Drags, else someone might have a heart attack.

Anyone know what steering wheels will bolt onto a Dakota column?
I thought all I was going to have to worry about was getting the motor, trans, brakes, wiring, steering, and a host of things I thought were the necesities done on a limited cash flow. Now I will have to worry about the make and year of the steering wheel. NOT! :p Ya all don't like it, don't look inside the car! I have enough challenges for this year already. ;)
