Projects Finally I get my Flathead powered T Roadster

Discussion in 'Traditional Hot Rods' started by mctim64, Dec 4, 2014.

  1. Updates! Went by Boling Brothers yesterday to see how my car was coming along, Derrek and the boys have started on the floor now so it wont be long till I get to take it home for finish work. Well you know how that goes.

  2. In the mean time I have picked up this pickup. Going to make it my shop delivery truck. Well, if Kathy will let me use it. I told her it was going to be her truck. How else do you convince them that you need another vehicle. ;)

The guys over on the photoshop thread did this for me and I do believe it will look very much like that when it is done.

It has a Model B four banger in it now but I do plan to install my shop display engine in it after I drive it around a bit. :)

  5. Is green primer/sealer the only thing the will let you spray out there!?

  6. I like the way you convinced her it is 'her truck' - nice move! :) That is like having your wife tell you it is 'your house' - when you both know that it for damn sure isn't. LOL Great to see you getting some flatheads on the road - not that I'm partial to them or anything like that! You going to BVille this year???

Talking about floors, the Boling Bros, must have the cleanest, tidiest floor (and shop) I've ever seen. I was taught to keep my work area tidy when I was an apprentice, and have subsequently trained others the same way. Apart from making it easier to work in the area, the appearance gives your client a silent nod that the work you're doing for them will be done properly.:)

  11. Very true! I have always been impressed with the way Derrek keeps his shop. Very well organized.

Kinda makes me wish I had a T body instead of an A. Very cool car coming together!

Posted pictures can be for your private enjoyment.
It's one thing to look at a picture and admire a beautiful young woman, and a totally different thing to make crude remarks about it.
There is no need for crass or disrespectful comments.

  25. Obviously this was merely a newbie hotrodder mistake:rolleyes:;). You see, Tims build has solid axle as opposed to a rack and pinion front end. Therefore, no "rack" was involved.
It appears that "Kyra" was merely showing off her carb tuning skills.
    Jeez Guys.

  28. Kyra is very helpful to me and loves to pose for photos along with her sister Kiona. They are both very attractive young ladies and I'm sure would appreciate the complements. As for the "Rack" I'm sure you could be referring to this wheel "rack".

    Or maybe this engine "rack"
    1929672_985008371565279_1199827655798216711_n.jpg

    Possibly this "rack" of catalogs?
    10438918_1015930831820481_2806974679279628858_n.jpg

Maybe the crank "rack" behind the Flatty?
    1914546_1015931035153794_4662971730853049452_n.jpg

It's all in good fun guys, we all know what it's about. Even Kyra, she's no dumb blond. ;)
Comment all you want but, yes, keep it tasteful.

  29. Just to give equal time here is Kyra's sister Kiona. A lovely young lady in her own right.
