Technical Swapping a 237 for 265 in 46 desoto

    Good morning, hope everyone's having a great day.
    Title says it all, I have a very tired 237 in my 46 I and a freshly rebuilt 265 fall in to my lap on the cheap, the really cheap. Hope to put in 265 later this month. I have a service manual just wondering if there are any tricks or tips anyone could share. thanks for reading this!

    should be a bolt in deal but for a few minor items, if that. Both are the longer block Mopar six. I had a 265 in a '51 Dodge some years ago...loved it. It was converted to a fully manual 3 speed with O/D and
    great for both in town and highway. But even with Fluid drive (assuming you have that) you should easily notice the difference.

    Yes I still have a fluid drive tranny thanks for the help!!
