Thanks, that looks rather Vignale-ish. Now I want to build a DHC version. Just what I need, another Hamb-inspired project...:rolleyes:

  5. Someone's done a fair job on this one, but the top could definitely come down a few inches.

Hey TheMoose, how about trying cycle fenders on this car. Maybe that would be a better look.

Hello, I'm new to the site and will add one of my own favorite edits here for a start. Many of you may be familiar with the story of the Duchess of Windsor and this special factory custom Cadillac made for her.
For abdicating his throne for love after ruling less than a year, King Edward VIII thereafter known as the Duke of Windsor, deserved one of his own.

This is my concept of perhaps what the Duke should have ordered for himself.
Opinions welcomed. Thanks for looking. ;-)

Hey I just read your post.....My home town is Tulare & being an 80's kid I grew up known that cruising Mooney in Visalia on a Friday was everything! Mearle's was our own little "American Graffiti"/50s spot! I miss how it was. That's why I drew the Burnout...to cover the Modern. Cheers to Mearle.

  12. Okay guys, the wife loves the black with red stripes so that is what we will go with. Would it be too much to ask to see it with white walls?

If it's possible I would also like to see my shop logo on the door. I know black lettering wont show so maybe red lettering with white outline. Thanks a lot! Getting excited about this truck.

For fun, here's a spoof I did when a friend asked me to create a flying car like what you might see in a James Bond movie.

James D heres some pics of a couple of projects that fell by the wayside (we were only 17 and learning) If you can I'd love to see them "finished" The idea for the 100E pickup was to fit an a35 front the same as the standard 10 with some old Mercedes rectangular headlights (stacked) and finish it with a cotton candy pink paint job. The 10 was going to be either emerald green or lilac (it was the 80's) IMG_0960.JPG IMG_0961.JPG IMG_0963.JPG IMG_0962.JPG

  25. You reinvented the Goggomobil coupe with the Standard 10!

But if it's acoupe you want, I'd do something like this - similar to a Bianchi Fiat. A roll back roof like the Bianchi, or even (whisper it) the Nissan Figaro would be a cool feature to add.

I'd better not show the wife your idea of a 10. She always liked where the standard was heading and she drives a Figaro
