Some will go to extremes to keep people from hauling off their stuff...

The guy that owns the land has started stacking tires around it so you can't see it from the road as much.

  8. If you were being chased that was no cow. It's a bull and he can keep it.

Yeah, and with the door open that long, you know the battery is dead.

  13. Great photo!
Be careful down there in "Little Dixie". Those in breds have guns!
Had relatives down there in Talihina way back when I was a kid. We went down there couple times a year. Like another world. Open range cattle, gravel highways, poverty, backward attitudes......
Remember the movie Deliverance? ..........................Could have filmed it in Southeastern Oklahoma.

  14. You stated your opinion so I will state mine; your post was uncalled for. It must be nice to be so perfect.

I grew up down there, sister was born in the Indian hospital in Talihina.. It's not all like that. But I'm afraid to venture off the roads I know. Methheads and pot grows that would rather shoot first then ask questions has taken over what was once a safe and beautiful place.

Oh yeah...Previously, Moonshiners were throwin' down the welcome mat, sayin' "If all y'all's company, c'mon in an set fer a spell...Supper's comin' di-rectly!"
I've always felt like a "revenooer" when passin' thru down in those parts.

This still could be a nice car, but what a lot of work to get it out of there.

Wow, probably more labor than the body is worth. Lots of work to rope down trunk sections so you don't destroy the car falling the trees.

That guy probably visited NYC in the 70s and decided he didn't want to get his car stolen when he got home

There is a three on the tree joke, but I'm not that good cut in my hyoide, or what ever it's called .or maybe a three big logs in an old coupe

I'm a little anoid that your (I mean people from southern US) no-good POS left for dead junk, is way better then our "it's worth a ton of money, buts it's save able for the right guy" junk.
This is no rant again OP or people from the south. Just my 2 cents.

  30. A lot depends upon just what exact place in the South the junk is left for dead. Stuff still rusts down here in the deep south but I think over to the west it fares better. Us Southerners don't really consider Oklahoma the South, its more the West to us...;)
