As the rest of the country braces for more winter weather those of us fortunate enough to live in Arizona get our cars out drive them as much as we can before triple digit temps return.

So that means it is time to announce the date of the 3rd Annual Arizona Hot Rod Hundred on Saturday April 9th, registration 8:30am-10am with the reliability run starting at 10:15am.

-We will return to doing a 100+ mile loop again this time, route is TBD.
-To get a T-shirt you must send in a $20 pre-registration fee to [email protected] with your size so we can order the right number of shirts and the right size shirts.

-Bring a canned food donation or cash donation for the Foothill Food bank to feed the needy.

We will be at the Good Guys Spring Nationals in Scottsdale March 2-4th promoting the run so stop by our booth and say hi and pick up a flyer.

If you missed last year here is the coverage and some pictures from our run http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/...rod-hundred-saturday-april-25th.962380/page-3

BTT.........the '55 is mine and it was the only car to break down on the run, HAHA! how ironic! The coil was dying and it would heat up, loose spark, I would pull over let it cool and it would restart, the old girl still made the run, she just needed a few stops along the way.

I'm thinking that my '55 is a better candidate to complete the 100 mile run than my model a.

The '55 is welcome and as long as you are not like me you will make it the whole way in your '55 without an issue, hoping to see you there!

Any chance you guys will swing up Prescott way? If so, I can possibly whip up a bunch of guys to meet you folks for lunch.

    Such a good time!

I have a conflict right now on that date, but I'll work to move stuff around. I'd hate for this to be the first one I'd miss.

With any luck the "T" won't throw it's traditional tantrum just before this event!

Rats! I'll be in San Diego.

I'll be visiting with my family and doing a bit of surfing, so that's some consolation.

THIS LOOKS LIKE SOMETHING FUN TO DO!

  27. And it was my coil that gave up the ghost on the inaugural version...

Maybe I'll have the '40 out for this year's escapades........

Coils seem to be our Achilles heal!

Mine failed in the '55 because I had a heater hose blow the week before and it got wet then rusted so resistance is why it was heating up.
