I sent him a whole string of e-mails a few days ago. Said that the money order would be in the mail Saturday (tomorrow). I also got a second case # from the USPS Inspector's Office responding to my first message and claim form that I filed with them several weeks ago. I plan on contacting him via e-mail and his phone all day tomorrow to see if he mails it. Probably a lot of B.S. but I'm gonna stick on Stickshift.... jk

Yep, so he gets free meals on our tax dollars. I hate the "justice" system in this country. This scumbag knows what he is doing is wrong, he has done it more than once according to this thread and will most likely continue to do so as long as possibly can.

Something tells me he is the kind of guy that has and will continue to con everyone he can for as long as he can, but the minute he doesn't think he got enough fries with his burger he's yelling at everyone he sees until someone gets fired.

I don't recommend taking the law into your own hands but somebody will eventually have to do it.

  8. Its funny how these guys have a bad accident one day. If you role the dice enough times eventually they come up snake eyes.

Florence, Ky. is just over the bridge from Cincinnati, Oh. so it isn't that far for him to go get the body if he is using that for an excuse. I personally would never do business with anyone using a P.O. Box for a mailing address. It's too easy for them to take the money and run. Although he should have shown some kind of I.D. to the Post Office to secure the box. They want to know who is renting their boxes, in case they get porn, drugs, etc. that they consider illegal through that box. Check with the Postal Inspectors as to the address he gave on his application for his P.O. Box. You might try getting his state's Attorney General involved also. Good luck on getting your money back.

That's a big, beautiful house on a golf course. Must be doing pretty well ripping people off.
In actuality, my guess would be he was/still is a groundskeeper at the gold course and was using someone's mailbox as a drop box because he knew they were on the road .
Maybe call the golf course posing as an HR rep. to "verify employment" to see if he works there.

  13. That's a familiar one with him, unless you've told of you're adventures with him before.
Simply Brilliant excuse and remedy, bet it was seen on worlds dumbest criminals.

We used to have a rip off artist in our area that primarily preyed on newbies. He would take their cars apart and then hold them hostage. I know of one case where he milked a guy for at least three years. Karma took care of him. He's now pushing up daisy's.

Several years ago there was a kid that was doing this shit on Pirate4x4.com and Nissan4wheelers.com.Little SOB finally ran out of luck and so many people jumped on the thread that is crashed their server.End result:The kid's dad got canned from his job,law enforcement went after the kid,and the local TV station outed the family.Wikipedia and Urban Dictionary made the kid famous: http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=wenzeled

Glad everything worked out. I have been building cars for over 40 years and have had a number of issues with parts suppliers. Hate buying things site on seen. Have always gotten the product in reasonable fashion , it was just their idea of very nice clean condition and mine where not on the same page. But living in Wisconsin and needing a rust free part Arizona, sometimes you have to take a chance. Hope you find the deal you want and its close to home! Larry

I had the same problem with him, he strung me along for 3 months he blamed everything on the shipping company. he told me he had a root canal, luckily I paid him through pay-pal and I was returned my money.

I too was wronged by mr. Ahern. Early November I purchased some model a parts
($300) from him. Fortunately he sent me an invoice through Paypal. After a few months of excuses and outright lies I contacted Paypal with all of the information about his scam and within a week paypal refunded me. I was lucky.

No matter what he does to change his internet identity, he's just a dumb-ass crook, and they're not intelligent enough to completely cover their tracks. Sooner or later he'll run into trouble, and he better hope it's trouble with the law instead of trouble with a pissed-off rodder that he screwed.

I hate internet ripoff scumbags. The end of January I bought a grille for an O/T car off eBay, from a guy in Wisconsin. The grille he shipped was missing a chunk of plating, and didn't match the pictures in the ad. I tried to work a deal with him but he went silent, so I did a little internet sleuthing and found out he was a lawyer from Prairie du Chien. My last message to him was that a lawyer should know better than to misrepresent an item. After a few days of no response from the guy, I filed a claim and sent pictures to the eBay resolution center. Less than two hours later I had a refund for the entire amount, including shipping, deposited into my PayPal account by eBay. Not sure if they collected anything from him or not, but I sure hope so. Asshole. And although it's not perfect, I got a free grille out of the deal.

I bought a cab back, dash rail, and some windshield sranchions from him last year. Sent the money and he continued giving me the run around. Waited about a week and took a trip from Chicago to Kentucky. Showed up at his door one morning while he was dealing with his x wife. He lead me to a store n lock about 5 miles down the road. Full of parts. I got my stuff and off I went.
