Been out of town but started on the wiring of the shoe box, made a custom bracket to mount the fuse box under the dash so its hidden. I'm going to replace the solenoid with the one that will allow me to use the original push start button. Photo Feb 22, 3 37 07 PM.jpg

  3. What solenoid do you need to use the original start button?

  4. Nice work, I like the clear glass.

While I didn't find that replacing the window seal on my shoe hard (I'd built it up in my mind to be a nightmare, but a pal and I had it in with minimal hassle) I did end up having an old glass tech here in town install the trim. The instructions in my seal kit said to install it after the glass but man I tried and tried and about had an aneurism over that shit.

Said fuck it and paid the 'ol feller and drove away happy haha

I hear ya, I replaced the glass and seal on my 63 C10 (wrap around glass), after like an hour of swearing I said F'it and hired a glass guy to do it, took him like 20 min!

Interesting build...thanks for the progress pictures. I too have a 49 coupe, but mine is the Canadian Meteor version. It's been a 25 year project for me so far but now that I have retired, I'm back at it.

He was in California. The natives probably ate him.
