Features **Model T buckets/RPU's/Roadster/Tourings official photo thread**

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by Old-Soul, Aug 25, 2010.

  1. Time for another bump...we need more t-buckets! Just to stir some stuff up, here aremy current 5 favorite t-buckets. Feel free to discuss...

    1) @Royalshifter 's killer bucket.
    2) Grabowski's Kookie Car
    3) Chip's @need louvers ? Ugly Bucket
    4) That one's mine. Perhaps a little too Fad-T for some...too bad.
    5) @showrod 's Von Esser Von-T

Norm's T (in either of his iterations) will always be my favorite. It's the originator, it's just as wild and sinister as ever.

That being said, I love the shit out of Royalshifter's car too, it's right in every sense of the word.

But his car, man...just bums me out that the stars didn't align for me to own this car.

  3. I smell what you're stepping in with that little black bucket. Very simple and clean. Change up the headers, and I might be wanting to jump of the ledge with you. You'll notice none of my picks have those "sprint car" style headers on them. Just can't feel them.

Several years ago after my son met an incredible bunch of Texas car guys from Wellington, Texas (Road Rockets) I got to meet them. The coolest of them took my son and left me to be "geezer sat" by Flattop Bob and Linda. We watched an amazing stash of homemade "Norm" movies. One was done by Norm driving with one hand and running the camera with the other. He wasn't doing really well with either hand. The next year Bob Introduced me to Norm at Paso. I remember seeing that T at the first Oakland Roadster Show I went to in '59. Thanks for the video!!!

Yeah I've never been one for that style of pipes either, but with the exception of a few of the early build photos where it had headers, it's always ran em. If it were me, I'd probably run stock SBC ramhorn manifolds, I've always thought they look cleanest.

Yup. For me it's the Lightning Bug version with the blower, though. The first and the best.

Paul, I lean towards the earlier T bodies but for the "late model" T's I think you about nailed it.

    Don't get me started above.

Beautiful California weather lately. So I took the UGLY roadster for a ride.

Nice to see one without sprint car type headers.

  30. +1 on the ram's horns...but minus several style points for the ginormous steering wheel. I would have to put C-notches in my thighs to drive this one!
