57-59 Plymouth fenders would be cool. Been thinking about making a set for a drag car Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
Run some ads for parts you already have molds for and see what response you get. There should be demand for Vega fenders, they all rusted out in a couple of years and may not be available from GM anymore. If anyone is restoring or hot rodding Vegas. Mopar stuff has quite a following these days. I don't know, all you can do is give it a shot.
I thought Ida Automotive was making those. From New Jersey. I just looked them up. Rob is building movie cars now. I know they used to make Willys and Tucker bodies, but I couldn't find any info about that now. I would guess he still has the molds
'32-'37 English Ford, about same size as a '27 so no doors would not be that big a deal and $1.5K would sell more units than one with doors and trunk for $4K. there never was a roadster though, as frame too light.
He still makes them, as far as I know he does.not sell the bodies, only the completed cars which start at $150k.
I second on the idea of putting some kind of ad (on The Hamb, Racing Junk, Craigslist, ects) on what you already have on the mopar and vega fiberglass parts, anything on those. Overhere in the Southern Calif area, the 1971-1977 vega fiberglass parts, anything, drag or street car, are in demand (and mopar also, 1965-1974), if it's good quality and the cost. Locally we have Unlimited Products, there stuff is "so-so". Back in the 1970s and 1980s, we had Fiberglass Trends, killer fiberglass parts. But they closed down back in the 1990s (?). Good Luck.
I wish someone would build a toneau cover that you can upholster for the 35-36 Ford beds. A lightweight, lockable cover that is hinged from the front.
I will start by saying that I am not in the market. I am too old and have too many projects already. My suggestion would be some of the cars that you don't see too often, like a 1932 Ford two door phaeton or a 3 window Model A coupe. They made the 3 window coupe in fiberglass several years ago but I haven't seen anything lately. Charlie Stephens
I can't figure new messaging. Drop me an email at [email protected]. I have a loose body but need to get its frame and hinges from old house to here. Lots of details I would like to change to class it up.
'glas top inserts seems like an interesting idea. They could be molded with a "grain" pattern or smooth gelcoat on the outside and have bonded-in inserts to allow one to bolt it in place with a seal. Hmm......
Do you have any 37-38 Willys parts, 60's-70's hood scoops, also do you offer a Catalog of your parts.
