That's as tough a question for me as it is for you! I think I would like either equally well....I know, sounds like a cop-out! A darker maroon, of course. I had never pondered that before, but either of those would look better than most any other color. You are on the right track. Those are classy colors for that car and of course, have mucho reflection power.

That must have been a great show. You lucky people!!:)
As to the question above I would agree with Tom on that one. I think any colour along Maroon stands out really well.

  7. Hey Tom, I'm noticing a subtle change in this batch of photos. You're giving them a little less exposure and conrast to make the colors more saturated. The overall effect is less "color pop" in terms of contrast, but a much deeper, more muted and elegant look. Or am I completely overthinking this?
At any rate, stellar work; thanks.

Thanks, Tom; the subtle change is just me feeling my way, learning new techniques and refining my objectives.

    Jammin', you dig?

One man's overthinking is another man's thinking (or vice-versa)! Whaddya think? You are just paying attention, that's all. Elegant is a good description for that elusive quality I am chasing.

By the way, all of my shots look darker on the HAMB than they do on my screen.

  14. True works of art, Tom! I was there and I swear I enjoy your work as much as seeing the real thing in person. Your shots always bring the best out of any car you shoot. Thanks for all of your hard work and dedication to your craft. You are spoiling us!

    Hi Tom

Great photo work as always and thanks for your time posting etc

Do you have any other shots of the looks like a 34' Hi-boy Roadster Pick Up in a candy Brandywine shade, also looks like a 429 shotgun engine

    Great looking car !!

    Thanks , Don

Don, the RPU was a AMBR entry. I still have shots to go through, I'll keep my eye out for more, but it seems to me that getting a clean shot of that car from an angle wasn't working out. As it was, I had to clean a lot of clutter away from around the car for that move-in shot. I'm not fond of shooting a car in full display mode, since the correct profile is almost never there with everything open.

I have posted a current thread with hundreds of pics from the Sacramento Autorama but, none come close to the beauty of the ones that you are able to produce. I guess quantity, not quality, is my way.
