Pictures please. Who wouldn't need chrome front fenders? Are the 30-31 or 28-29? or cycle fenders?

Another Winfield set up thought. Before final installation take the throttle body and hold the butterfly/wedge in the wide open position and set the throttle stop on the throttle shaft so that it touches the casting. When I set up duals I back the idle speed drew out all the way on one carburetor and just let the other one control idle speed. To me this makes it easier to balance the carburetors.

You misunderstood. We built this car from one that was burned in garage fire

It was a REAL MESS to start with!

 

You did an amazing job. Good thing it was saved not scrapped

I can picture it flying down a road lined with trees and a leather helmet.

They ARE great to drive....... some better than others. The Veritas company was small and quality was really about how much money the customer had to spend

 

It reminds me of the early 50's Cunningham cars.

Every seven years, I get inspired to post here. So...not that I've completely lost interest in ultra high mileage cars or road racers of the '50s, but I'm getting the urge to make a (mostly) traditional Track T. Except I'll probably put a late 20th Century Japanese engine in it. Are the Genuine Guys going to drum me out of the banger brigade 'cause I don't have a 90 year old Ford under the bonnet?

 

Don't worry there is room in this hobby for everyone. The guys here even out up with my interest in strange little cars and engines that make less HP than a Ford 6V starter motor. If you looks around you'll see there are a various makes with various engines installed on this forum.

Are you going to get crap from jerks ?...... all I say is "Keep your cool. AND think of the guys you went to high school with that were bullies and loud mouths" I've been "sidewalk judged" it happens less and less as they die off.

Roy Creel mentioned he was working on an OHV head for a Willys. Is that the same one? Or are you both doing the same thing?

 

My banger project is slowly progressing. Is two 81's too much carb for an otherwise stock (.030 over) 'A' engine?

 

you will likely be wishing for more compression to go with that carburation
sure looks nice though

 

there was a whole conversation on what makes the best banger in disguise recently, as I recall
if we all had the same likes we'd all be chasing the same woman

 

Rich, it is same one. I made some parts for it and machined the o-ring for chambers.(posted pic previously)

Today was foundry day, filled a block to build next Flatty race motor.
