I am up to date now. I just re-read the whole thread and love this roadster. If you take it to Detroit Autorama I will be there to see it and I live in LA.
Pewsplace. ...it's registered. Stuff like brake lines, wiring and exhaust are probably going to be optional. I don't have much time so I am concentrating on making it look like something. Clark
Clark: I had a panel with surface rust like your side panels, laid a paper towell on it and poured on concentrated lemon juice. Let it sit for @20-30 minutes and it looked like new.
Timwhit. ...thanks I'll keep that in mid. The dash cleaned up easy, but the body does have a few bad spots
It's not looking good for Detroit. ..this thing is fighting me. Got the top irons mounted. Trunk hinges are fighting me going to have to heat and bend them to get them right.
Well the car is not going to Detroit..sucks! I did get a good but done on the inner fender splash pans. I decided it was best to start over and make both sides at the same time. It would have been harder to duplicate the one I did a while back. I had the hammer form already. But this time I have some better tools. I used an artificial knee on the end of the air hammer to help form the bubble. Then planished it and it came out great. I still have a lot to do but they're coming out pretty good. Not to mention I've got a lot less time in making the pair than I had making the single Clark
I got my top bows and started playing with the top. Looks tall in the picture but looks just right in person. Had to raise the back bow just a little.
Also picked up some 17 inch wheels for my 750/17 goodyears. They need narrowed about 2 inches but will work perfect. Will be able to make a Goodyear wheel center that pops on and can also run a set of spyder caps
