Hello to Danny from another Danny.

My mother in law took a very bad fall in my backyard several years ago and had to have shoulder joint replacement. She healed up fine and has full use of it. She was 88 and has severe osteoporosis - which means you'll almost certainly come through this fine.

Stay positive and do the physical therapy (even tho it hurts). Best Wishes!

As most of you guy's know rarely am I at a loss for words,some would take it a step further and say I talk too much and The Good Lord granting me with the natural ability of being ambidextrous I am typing & wiping left handed.

You might also might remember me talking about my life long friend Rene' who is a car guy like all of us but suffered a stroke last year and subsequently lost the use of his legs and is also having to deal with dialysis 3 days a week,

I bought his 1932 Ford sedan trying to help him with his finances and have listed his chevy truck in the classifieds on the Hamb and his ot early VW double cab truck on Samba site.

Long story shortened considerably I was helping with the loading,we were loosing light and before we could turn around it was dark.

We had a few boxes sitting around and Rene' son and I gathered them up and moved them to the carport,the only thing we missed in the driveway was the concrete block that had minutes before been used as a long term parking brake behind the passenger side front wheel.

So now it's dark and that's what happened,I just tripped over the block and landed on the concrete driveway, the way I fell the majority of my weight came down on my shoulder.

Damn, that sounds painful Danny, I hate to hear of it. Take care and heal up, you're in our thoughts.

 

Do the therapy. My dad didn't, and subsequently couldn't raise his arm high enough to draw the beer vendor's attention at the ballpark. So that's what's at stake here: Self-sufficiency regarding cold beverages! Get well soon.

 

Danny I hope you mend fast. I know I do not move as fast as I used to. Always great talking to you.

Tombo, thx for posting this important but bad news.
And now to you Danny, sorry this happened, and wish you a fast recovery. I'm sure it's very painful, and I hope your Dr. helps with that all that is safe.
I'm also very sure from my own experiences that it is very frustrating to sit there and think about all the stuff you planned to accomplish before Spring.
I was a lot more fortunate than you recently when a moment of carelessness bit me square in the ass, literally, nothing broken , but weeks later I still get a twinge of pain to remind me to try to be more careful.
But for you it's going to be a far more severe reminder that we are no longer 18, 10 ft. tall and bulletproof! At least you have a beautiful wife to keep you company and tnend to your needs.

Get well soon Danny. Like someone said, hit the physio like you mean it. I had a lower back injury way back in my thirties, really got after the therapy and exercises they gave me, made a BIG difference. I am still careful with my back to this day, and it still acts up a little once in a while, but I know other guys with similar injuries and it really messed them up.
Good luck, hope you are better soon. Man, that sounds like a nasty fall.

I feel your pain. I tripped on a jack handle a while back when I was building the ol fordor and went down hard on my shoulder. Get well soon HRP.
