A very nice set on radius rear steel fenders. This is thanks to the great H.A.M.B. members for all the help with parts I needed. And the great conversations with all.

IMG_1276.JPG IMG_1277.JPG IMG_1276.JPG IMG_1277.JPG Will this is the first coat of single stage Porsche Slate Gray on the inside of the engine compartment. The first coat under the trunk like looks great. I will wet sand and apply final coat. Sorry guys the trunk lid is
too large for the server to process. I need to check this out

It has been some time since I've posted progress on the 40 Willys build. All body parts have been painted. This is the body out of the paint booth. The color is called Slate Gray. An early Porsche color. I think that when all the deluxe trim is added. It will just go great with this color.

That is going to be an interesting color. I can't wait to see it all together and with the stainless on it.

I wanted a different color that red, black, yellow and so on. I think this grey will go nicely with this type of car.

Yes. Most pre war colors were kind of muddy. I have not seen this color on only Porsche's. Some time check out Steve McQueen's 911 painted Slate Gray. Very cool.

It's time to cut and buff. Many more hours of fun. The paint color is interesting. The color looks different at every angle. The next step after cut and buff the body is to put it on the hoist and wire it. This way I'm not on my back under the dash. Thank all you guys for your interest.

Thanks 38 2DR. I think the dark gray is going to be a kock out. With the wheels and ss trim it will be killer.

This is so time consuming. Cut and buff. Hours of time. Not my favorite duty. Coming along. Body first. deck lid, doors. hood, nose piece. Many hours to come. Looking good.

Been busy, Dash is done. All Wiring is ready to go. Final buff on body, then will go on the frame.

Thank you guys. it's been a long time in the making..Some more pic's of the dash with the heater installed. And my little arm that opens the air vent on the hood. It has a roller magnet that hold it in place when the vent is opened. Works great. I have a lot more to come. Stay tuned.

Well finally the body is on the frame to stay. Ladder bars look right on. The stance is just what I wanted. Looks cool from the front view. Now it can be a car again.
