Here's my 39 sedan that I recently bought. I have been trying to make a good driver out of it. Also my 39 coupe that is in full resto at this time.

my current 40. I have had 2 40 coupes , 2 40 converts and 2 40 sedans. I got my 1st 40 50 years ago for 50.00 in Monroe wisc. I put in a 63 fairlane 221 v8 in it with 260 heads a c-4 trans and a ford nine inch from a 57 ford wagon. we made or own brackets. we didn't have chassis engineering then.

The attached is my son Mike Knittle's work in progress. Just an old 39 Ford Deluxe coupe with a Junior Thompson built 392 Hemi motor. It has a ways to go but is gradually getting there.

A lot of nice 39/40's have been posted on here, thought id add a little update on mine. Last posted on this thread in 2009 [IMG]
Having decided that it was going no where, I decided to farm out a lot of work to Marco at Traditional Fabrication. He took out the flattie and three speed and dropped in a 348 and 5 speed, modded all the rear suspension for a model A style crossmember in preperation for the quick change

And thats about where its at. I've been tinkering, sorting out hydraulic clutch, pedals, and running brake lines. It might be running this year...maybe...
