  18. Nice car, not AMBR in my opinion, just a nice car. If really good vanilla is what we want, i guess. I just like a bit of creativity. The engine is just a small bock painted black, trying to look traditional with dual new Edelbrocks. a modern style air cleaner and modern hei boots on the spark plugs. Nothing wrong with any of this, I see it all the time at cruise-ins. But this is supposed to America's Most Beautiful Roadster, not the usual roadster.

So rad that a hot rod that was driven to Texas and back from California won the AMBR. These are cars and they are meant to be driven! Congrats to the Hollenbecks!

Hey it's only the last day of January the transition from writing 2015 to 2016 comes hard.
I received my new Rodders Journal issue 69 in the mail yesterday and it appears that it was timely.

    That is one nice roadster.

  27. It's clean, I see it around the bigger local shows here. It puts the miles down that's for sure. As nice as Hetfields "Packard" is, it'll only see the asphalt from when it leaves the trailer going into the venue.

  28. Congrats to Daryl (@hollenbeck32) & Terri (@Born a HotRodGal) Hollenbeck!

    ... as well as:
    • Dan Webb and Cory (@CTaulbert) & Ashley (@ash) Taulbert ... metalwork, chassis fabrication, wiring, etc., etc..
    • Sid (@Hotrodstitcher) Chavers ... interior & top.
    • Bill (@slixauto) Ganahl and the crew at South City Rod & Custom ... final assembly.
