I've been doing some digging on here as of late, and I have found that I am not the only one who is younger who's all hip to old ways lol I'm 20 and currently building a 1930 Model A. Just curious to see who else is around my age.. because it's more than I thought! What are you all building?? thanks! Here's my coupe by the way. (headers are gone, just installed lake pipes)

Great to see young people come into the Hobby, as you know, it is the grey hair no hair majority. When you are at shows, cruises, come on over and chat with us "Old Farts" lots of great stories when we can remember them.

If you check my build thread out the car was built in Kansas and it was white primer. We drove to Springfield to get it

Can someone pm me his profile or this thread??

  10. Lol, just found this thread!

Build is in my sig. Really gets going in the past few pages. It has taken a lot of troubleshooting and learning to get where I am at.

I looked at your post and immediately thought your situation was like mine, but your car is a wee bit better condition wise! I tried to lay out everything in my thread, leaving nothing out. Interested in seeing what you come up with.

Looks great!!! Glad to see that you have not been caught up in the "rat rod" craze like so many of your generation.

I am 30. I've always said we need to get the younger guys more involved but some of the older guys around here think we will just ruin a lot of nice cars

Yeah we got SUPER lucky and found a original rust free body (it aint a real hot rod if it aint a real body IMO) in Springfield MO. A hot rod shop in Kansas had built the car into a rat rod but had Z'd the frame 6'.. so that's basically where we started. I still don't have an interior, or a true period correct seat (its got these stupid street rod style bucket seats that I hate..) but it's coming along. Just put the lake pipes on it last weekend.

I'm 27 but I joined the HAMB when I was 16. Not sure if I still qualify as "young" guy anymore haha. I don't get on here a whole lot anymore. My car is in my avatar picture. Thinking of letting it go soon and trying to find a model A coupe instead. Your coupe looks great Jake.

I'm 31. I have tried to build a couple t buckets in the past but failed from lack of knowledge or something. Now I have a nice shop great career and have started my own side business. I have a well tooled machine and weld shop at my fingertips when I get to play with my model a. I am gathering up parts so that when I get started on it I hopefully can make a dent in the progress. One thing most car guys have in common is that they are usually willing to help each other out. I know I am willing just not out and about in public enough. If anyone needs anything from me all they have to do is ask. Brian

36 so I guess I am not as young as I used to be but I have been messing with 50's & 60's trucks since I was 17.

My 12 year old owns a '56 Chevy truck doesn't get much younger than that.

I'm 20, I'm not building anything half as nice as an A, but I am putting together a 60's style Aussie Holden.

I hope thats there is more younger guys building stuff then i think . I go to a lot of larger east coast shows and it seams as though I'm one of the younger guys there at 47!. Most guys my age or younger living in my area seem to only be into muscle cars. I guess i might as well buy a pair of all white new balance sneakers and a straw hat.

I'm 32 and have a bevy of builds going, all links to my builds are in my signature. I am making it my goal to prove that just because you get older, you don't have to grow up...

25 here. Building an international KB1 pickup. It's my first attempt at a hot rod. Needless to say I'm Currently rebuilding all the mistakes I made when I first put it together. Glad there are some other young guys/gals keeping this lifestyle alive. The projects look good. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1454251320.156875.jpg

There are tons of threads like these. Hahah.

  28. Im 20 currently building an early to mid 40s 27 T roadster ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1454252859.498641.jpg there was a thread about a month ago where most people were talking about how the traditional hotrod hobby will die but i beg to differ. It seems that everyday more and more young (below 30) people come out of the woodwork here. OP, is there a build thread on your model A? Ide love to see one
