The red tag was just the old design. The black/brass tag is the new one starting Jan 2016. If you joined or renewed Dec or earlier you still got the old design.

...just revisiting my query, that being with regards to topping up my membership earlier than it's "due date in December". Would I receive the new 2016 Alliance tag now, or would that tag only be shipped in the coming December when Membership is actually due? My rational understanding "it's seams" I stitch and pull and have the comprehensive validity of one who's in need of having their answers spoon fed. Yup. Perhaps, this Membership crisis has been covered elsewhere, but could someone in the know(like a moderator) chime in. Okay, thanks... now back to lunch, airplane seats, and sniffing glue

AGAIN ...just revisiting my query, been a month now, and I guessing my question just can't be answered. I realize I don't make a lick o'sense at the best of times, but I thought that this was pretty straight forward... If I pre-pay my membership, can I have a NEW TAG now... or do I have to wait until my membership in December comes due( even if I pay ahead?) to then receive the now tag?? Kinda did want this new tag before Deuce Days '16 in Victoria B.C. S2
I let my membership lapse for a few months and then renewed it in early January. I still haven't received my new tag. Maybe it's lost in the mail.
Well Boss I have to admit when I opened up the envelope and looked at it the first thing that came to mind was "WTF"! This is too damn pretty to put on my hot rod. But the more I looked at it the more I like it, but I still think it's too damn pretty for my car so its going on my wife's Brookwood which I think is more fitting. Hopefully, maybe next year I'll have my hot rod looking good enough for 2017 one. Thanks Boss.
