Serious long shot but at any point did any of the aftermarket guys make a 6V71 or similar blower intake for the 331/365/390 Cadillac motors. I have seen these motors in race cars all over the place and even a few supercharged ones but never actually seen the intake itself. I am assuming they are all 4 x 2 toppers as well. That part is available for certain pretty cheap ~250$.

Is this completely unobtainable if it does exist and are there any pictures of such a beast that I could use to make something on the Bridgeport after I CAD it out.

Cragar made a 4-71 blower kit for the 49-62 Cadillac engines according to my 1966 Bell catalog. Kit included the manifold which I assume was Cragar.

Maybe I can pull the seller up and see if the photos are still available. Still in the planning stages right now, the motor in my 57 is 100% stock right now and at 10:1 compression or so it is not going to survive the blower.

Going out this weekend to look at a 365 from a rear hit car to see if I can swing a buy. Got to figure out what I am going to do for the transmission as well as that sort of power in a 3 ton car is not a recipe for success with a hydromatic.

A 6V71 is different then a 6-71, the blowers shown so far are off straight not the V engines.

I have a NOS 471 Caddy Manifold and blower (not for sale) to use on my 32 Fiv'rr with 331 Caddy. If going to Detroit AutoRama in February and want to see it, I will have it on display as a prop with my 32.

Actually the picture is exactly what I needed. Someone sent me a diagram of the mounting surface and bolt locations of the blower as well. With that I can mill or 3D print and cast something out pretty cheap if we go that route.
Might just make the upper plate and hack apart a factory manifold for the lower, this is a long term project so I have some time to figure it out properly.

I have it in solidworks but the casting would be too difficult for me, honestly I have been looking at cutting up a old manifold and seeing if I can just mate a blower upper to it at this point.

    I'm interested in a 6-71 or maybe even a 4-71 for the 390.

As popular as 331 - 390 Caddy V8's are becoming, it's surprising that there aren't many new, (or repro), intakes available. A new dual quad intake would be cool. A new blower intake would be great. New adjustable rockers would be nice, too.

It's only because I decided to build one. If anyone wants something to skyrocket in price, let me know.

Hey there - I'm building a 365 Cadillac and I would like to know if you still have these beautiful blower intake manifolds for them. Thanks much!

Talk about from the dead. I actually ended up going full NA build on the 365 due to my lack of casting ability. i have another block though for my next 28 build and will be contacting Squeak soon to get one ordered up just in case.

  27. Also there is a Gear Drive cast blower intake for the Cadillac,,,,,,their in Minnesota I think .
    I believe the website is Lakeheaders.com .
I usually type in gear drive speed custom parts,,,or something like that .
If he’s sold out ,,,,he usually cast more in a few months .

Squeak Bell’s is for a 6-71, the Gear Drive is for a 4-71.

  29. Yes Sir,,,you’re right .
But I had seen it mentioned in earlier posts for a 4/71 as well,,,,I thought I would put that information on here also .
Never too much info when it comes to obscure , hard to find hot rod parts .
Also,,,,,either one can be adapted for the other size as well,,,,4/71 or 6/71 .
Some of this stuff is very hard to find .
