After you polished the tube did you clear it with something?

    Thanks fellas!

Runninshine I'll messure those shocks and post the info for you tomorrow.

Here's what I did this weekend.

Mocked the quick change in. wanted to be sure that nothing will bite me in the ass later. then I polished and mounted the bung on the turque tube to hold the radius arms.

pretty happy with how it's looking so far.

I'm looking for an old chrome mode T rear spring if anyone has any leads it would be greatly apreciated.

Running shine was asking the mesurements of the shocks I put on the rear. 16'' total length and 13.5 at ride hight.

    Rcnut 223

I haven't checked the tire pressure lately but I would have set them at 35psi

thanks for all the compliments fellas!

Got some more work done on the hot rod this weekend through all the holiday rush. Also a little Heads up I have decided to Start posting the progress of the hot rod and all the other cars that I'm building on InstaGram so if you want to check it out I will be starting this week @FLATNASTYCUSTOMS. Of course I won't be stopping my build thread here on the Hamb

Anyway i started work on a tack drive assembly. First thing I had to do was cut the big nut off the end of the 90 degree drive unit. There is absolutely no room for it so it had to go. then I sanded the face smooth.

After that I made up a holder for it. it's not done yet just kinda ruffled together. I will finalize it this week and post how it turned out. 2015-12-27 23.00.22.jpg 2015-12-27 22.50.19.jpg 2015-12-27 22.49.50.jpg

Got some more work done on the tack drive.

Modified the bolt for the front crank pully. Started by machining those narly claws off for the hand crank. then I drilled the Centre out. Made a weld in bung with a keyed hole for the drive pin. I even made the bung out of a old ford king pin to keep it period correct. lol pretty basic shit. 2016-01-03 22.07.13.jpg

Here it is all mounted up.

Looks sweet! I love the roll pan... but won't the louvers catch a lot of debris facing that way?

Keep up the great work! I think you single handedly raised the value of all 4 doors after you made this one look so easy :)

Built a simple battery box for the hot rod this weekend. 2016-01-18 18.59.47.jpg
My plan is to mount an optima sideways in side the rail. 2016-01-18 19.00.13.jpg

After that I remounted the body so I can get my seat and gas tank mounted. 2016-01-18 18.45.26.jpg

I'm looking for an old chrome T rear spring if you fellas have anything.

    Thanks Brad

Damn, that hot rod looks like it's looking for fight.

  22. Really love this build and your chop height especially. I like how the angle of the A pillars matches the slant of the back edge of the hood opening. I'd be curious to see how it'd look with the grille shell leaned back to match. Would this be too 'cartoony' or 'Foosey' looking?

Nothing cartoonish or Foosey about it!!!

  25. yes, this is awesome work & I didn't mean to imply that it is cartoonish or foosey looking - this is way more bad-ass looking than what chippy could come up with :D

Been slacking off on posting on the old terd so here we go. In my defence most of the stuff I have been working on hasn't been real post worthy.

Got going on my seat. it's an original 4 Dr seat. It has this big lump area in the small of your back so I decided to ditch it and fill it. then I punched it full of louvers.

I got the tail lights under control as well. I decided to go with the predictable but staple 37 ford units. Made a small bracket and bolted them to the roll pan
    2016-02-28 20.05.16.jpg
Finally I mounted the gas tank. I decided on a tanks tank and made a some brakets to mount it in the trunk.

I am putting together a big push to tie up all the loose ends on this thing and get onto the body work.

Anyone have an old chrome T rear spring? it's the only thing I'm missing.

    Thanks Brad
