I've found that there was Ford assembly plant for Model A's located in Louisville on South Western Parkway. Does anyone know exactly where it was? According to the numbers my A coupe was assembled there.

  4. Lived in Louisville 1974-76 when I was in seminary, drove by that building many times, didn't know that it was the old Ford plant.

  5. My Dad worked there in'36 installing window moldings. I worked on the building in the mid 70's doing some renovation. There are some official Ford photographs taken on the south side in the big driveway. One is of the '32's. I have one of them with a brand new roadster in the pic. PM one of us that live here before you come. There are some things top know about sight seeing. Tim

There was also a Ford plant on south 3rd street in Louisville across from the University of Louisville. It later became the Reynolds metals plant. I think it replaced the Southwestern Parkway plant. After being in the south 3rd plant Ford moved operations to the present day Fern Valley road plant around 1956/7. I worked at that plant on the frame line from 1966 to 1969.
