    =============================================================

    Fred,
    Great idea - maybe somebody tried that? I do not know!
    I had a chance to study real Citroen Traction Avant Berlina a lot and to seat in it - magnificent vehicle even standing in garage. In Belgrade, there were a dozen of them, well-running, making something exclusive club of middle-age boys and their girls/wives...

    Zoran
    P.S.: Seraching a little - I found a few photos of Citroen Traction Avant Coupè! As Berlines are to valued to be "choped", if they are in good condition - maybe to build somehting modest on 2CV chassis and using parts of body? (modern sporting cyclecar?)

    I had saved the image of the green car for years.I do like the looks of these cars.However,I prefer the coachbuilt 10253762_789072604450528_1448175053539707799_n.jpg 10292523_795916507139906_8862028122122011025_n.jpg 10354678_802760383102369_4673991701456905985_n.jpg Peugeot Darl' Mat coupes much better.

    That would make it the only one in the world.
    It's every Citroenist dream to find a 22, the only and last known V8 engine got junked in the 80's by some manager during spring cleaning... As for complete cars only a handfull of prototype got built and even fewer with the Citroen V8 others had the Ford Flathead. They are supposed to have been all crushed after Michelin bought Citroen, maybe a couple got saved, one ingenior did save a complete front clip and installed it on his convertible, but apparently even this one ended up in the crusher.
    There is a fake one in Holland with a Ford Flathead and in Italy there was a guy making one with 2 11cv 4cyl matted together like Citroen did at the time.

    The Peugeot 302 and 402 Darl'mat are fantastic cars.

    ... it seems that some people tried to manipulate with legend of Citroen Traction Avant 22 CV with V-8 engine!
    Some profit in plans, or just short-lived show-off?

    The first video (black/white - sepia) was presented as original film from testing of prototype, but with the same auto from one modern Holland garage! Probably (well-done) replica! We shouldn't believe everything that is shown on Internet and especially You-tube?

    Ciao,
    Zoran

    The Dutch 22 is the fake one with a Ford Flathead. The engine shots are from a french guy who's "building" it on CGI only, nothing's real but extremly well documented and executed.

    If someone would study a swept back Type 57 Bugatti Coupe windshield and photoshop it on the above Citroen I think we may have something.

    Last year i had the possibility to meet Duncan Pittaway in his workshop to get some advice how to build my Curtiss Frazer Nash car.It was fantastic to see all this cars and motorcycles but the most impressive was Duncan he was actually very busy to finish the Fiat but he had all the time to answer my questions and making some sketches for me.
