I keep coming back to this picture and really like the wheel and tire selection on this coupe. I just cant figure out what size and model Excelsior tires these are. I know a lot of people hate on the swept frame on this car but I still like the use of the 19" wheels. Besides 19" tires are sorta cheap and I have 2 nice sets of rims laying around. Just looking for a change on my roadster. I have 16" wires now
    thanks

The tires look not to have been in the plan. When the frame sagged beyond the spec, taller wheels/tires were the logical solution!

    How'm I doin', fellas?

  7. Ignorant is trad too. :(

I guess that when he discovered that he could afford to bend the axle he bent the frame instead. :D

@orangeamcs this is just a guess on my part but it looks like the rears are standard 4.75/5.00x19 and the fronts may be 3.00s like you would see on a bike.

  8. Well it looks like Excelsior only makes 5 different sizes in 19". Good bet there is a Pair of the largest (700-19) and a pair of smallest (500-19) on that Humpty Dumpty ride.

Yeah I wouldn't call the frame swept, more like bent, but maybe its just the angle the pic was taken? Got no clue on tire size nor the use of 19's on a Hot Rod at today's speeds..

Porknbeaner is right. Prolly 4.75/5.00. That is what I am going to run on my coupe. Would love some 16" but my budget tells me to run the 19". HAHA

Can't help with tire size but I think the coupe has a great "Look"... They could be model A wheels.. 19" front and 21" rear.. Just a guess...
