Spent a large part of my youth at Gene's Muffler. Keith was the coolest guy around and put up with my (and lots of other kids) constant hanging around lusting after the chrome reverse wheels stacked up in the front building and waiting for the day when I could buy a set and also get a set of glass packs installed. I'd ride my stingray home and count the days.

I still have one water decal left and a set of stickers that go in the center of the caps on slot aluminum wheels.
Is that cracker box a Glen L kit?

  4. Not sure. It was my Moms brothers. I just remember it being direct drive and the story's about how interesting things got if it needed a jump start.

These have to be Navy aviators on liberty in Hawaii at the Pali Lookout (old road) on Oahu. Naturally, only one had a decent shirt and civilian shoes. Or was the driver part of the tour / rental car package? LOL. Gary

Not sure they'd be laughing if they knew how much it's worth now.

I was noting the rack on the sidewalk with the plainly marked "Shotguns and Rifles" as well as the price. This store is in some sort of city; a small city maybe, but a city none the less.

An Abilene icon since 1931, the Dixie Pig is still serving a dynamite breakfast and lunch. Here's a 1940s photo of it:

Car crashed into a one story barbecue restaurant with Dr. Pepper signs at the corner of Harwood and Corinth street in Dallas, 1945. Two people were killed in the accident.
