    thinking about wide 5 wheels on my model a,making a roadster pu/lakester out of a 4 door murry,briggs body

    Scrap Metal 48 : Where did you get the 3-deuce manifold for a "Y-Block Lincoln", or are you just hiding the usual sbc under something nicer? LOL!!

    Have no pics, but nothing looks better on a Model A than wide 5 centers and 15" reversed Buick
    rims on the rear.

    I was talking to an old circle track guy, he was in the shop and I showed him my wide5 wheels I had made 1 1/2" wider. He said the same as what you said, they'd take a 16" wide5 wheel, cut the center section out and put it inside a wider 15" wheel, he said the centers were the same diameter. That was how they did it 'back in the day'. Thats got to be DSC00034.JPG a whole lot easier that making a wheel wider. This is one I did, I'm not using the Frankland hub it was sitting on it for another reason.
