Hot Rods New Years Day Ride

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by ric, Jan 2, 2016.

  1. Got my teenage daughter to go for a ride in my hot rod. Beautiful, chilly Nor Cal day. Drove up to Petaluma and had coffee with my brother and and our pal IMG_3294.JPG IMG_3293.JPG Gus. I think the last time my older daughter rode in one of my old cars she was about ten, now she's home from college. Good times.

Ohhhh that looks cold there, all bundled up like that, here at 10 o clock this morning, its still -20.
I am envious, couldn't make the end of my driveway in this weather.

I usually take the TR3 out at 12:01 AM, New Years Day. It was 22* and not a soul on the street as usual. Some years are colder than others. Just something I do to be able to say that I had the car out without the top this year.
    Happy New Years to all.

Hats off to a great kid and lucky Dad, it doesn't get any better than time spent with your kids (and grandkids) in an old car!
