Im new to the hamb and would like to introduce myself. My name is John Medaglia aka Mr 409 guy. Im from the reading Pa area, owner of RT 10 auto sales, and love nostalgia super stock racing. I have some pretty cool cars and Im a member of Mandra. I just bought Ronnie Evans "Wildfire" 62 chevy and plan to promote it in 2016. So with that being said , I would like to say hello.

I have a gaggle of 348 and 409 engines, and several vehicles with the Mighty "W" in the engine bay.

SaltFlats and I are currently building a 1961 Biscayne into a drag car for 2016. This year we started out with a bone stock 1962 Belair 2 door sedan and had a lot of fun around the Midwest this past year. First time out for this car. His best time was 12.23 at 106 MPH and we hope to improve upon that next year.

My current favorite is my 1962 Impala SS cloned to be a dual quad 409 four speed (with posi of course!). A close second is a current project, a 1962 Impala convertible, also destined to be a dual quad setup.

I also have a somewhat rare 1961 Belair Sport Coupe that came with a 348 (now long gone) and is to be treated with a stroked 348 with triple twos :).

I love GMs from the very early 60s and of course, the 348 and the 409!

  8. Welcome to the HAMB. I'm also a "W" lover now as I picked up a '61 convertible 348 car last July. Will be looking forward to some pics of the '61 drag car build.
