Considered polishing but since I dont have anything else polished figured what the hay

 

Not sure what you have in mind for the paint, but I just rattle-canned the entire piece then used a sanding sponge to remove the paint from the letters, the surround, and the stars. That left only the background in the desired color. Beats my trying to use a small brush with my shakey hands.

 

Got mine today, the quality is excellent, I'm as happy as a little girl!

Got mine last week but must have received an early piece. It seems to have a bit of slag on the right bottom of the "H". Any ideas how to clean it up?

adds character, very rare flawed model, like a stamp with the image upside down. worth more.
a dremel should be able to clean that up.

 

I just got word from Bridey that my package from Atomic arrived today. Can't wait to get home and open it up . It's like Christmas - Oh wait ... it IS , LOL !

 

Got mine polished up. Next I'm going to try to paint the background black, then figure out where to put it, top of the license plate frame aint gonna work.

 

Cut tab off, make another from aluminum strap (1/8" X 1", 1.5" long) JB weld strap opposite to where the original was, hanging the HAMB 'topper' from the lower side.
Now it's a 'Bottomer'. Don't know who did this and 'coined the phrase', but was glad to repeat it!

My tag that just arrived is certainly not the quality of my first one, with some blemishes and definite lack of definition on the lower half of the "M" . Once filed smooth, the M will look like a block . I'm hoping a little cleanup with my Dremel will make it cool. My first topper is crisp and clear. Maybe the forms are getting worn out ? This one is stamped with a 6 on the back, my first one is unstamped.

Don't get me wrong, in glad to have it, since they're so hard to come by and will show it off proudly ... Once it's warmed-over a bit .

 

For those guys that didn't get one, it took me 11 years before I was able to get the stars aligned to get mine, so stop yer whinin'!

Gotta get 'em polished and painted, drilled and filled before they go on these.
