Tim, As far as I know all the early GM motors (mine is a 54) had the oil canister . The Caddy's were mounted on the drivers side attached to the water pump bolts. If you have an older motor with a canister filter and decide to use an aftermarket filter message me. That creates a whole other big issue. That's why I reverted back to the stock canister and modified the bracket. Hope this helps.............

Just saw this thread. Thought I would chime in. I am not the biggest fan of '20's and '30's cars. But I would drive the wheels off this one if it were mine. Also, it's nice to see the brown primer. Almost left me car that way.

Lotta chop, but the 1/4 windows retain a smooth transition on the curves- A+ job
Having driven cars that were chopped and raked , I'd say leave it as is; if the front end was lowered it would probably not be comfortable to drive. ( It would probably SUCK!) And the big and little wheel/tire combo catches your eye and
I think it sits real nice, Mr. "HC"- great job.
MY .02 cents worth ( and we all know what that's worth)

a little rake would completely change the look of the proportions.......but as it has already been stated many times..... your car, your money, your time, your way. Congrats on meeting your goals.
