I finally figured it out. Monty started this place in 1956. His son Greg runs it now.

edit: Also the city of Sierra Vista was incorporated in 1956, and I'm pretty sure this is the only business that's still around after 60 years. Definitely the neatest sign in town!

^^now that's pretty cool! I have an "old school" parts store close to me (Deckers) but its in a totally non-descript, ugly modern strip mall.

At the local Barnes N Nobles, picking up the latest issue of Rod N Kulture. That tall building across the street, is part of Texas A&M University. [IMG]Hosted on Fotki

Spent 20 years in this small town...Erin, Ontario, Canada. Lots of ambiance. This town still has a 1830ish functioning water driven sawmill...sorry just checked it out burned to the ground 2013 that sucks.

My '39, as my daily driver, sees plenty of the town. here it is in the alleyway next to our local theatre...

My Sister was a student at Granada Hills High in the early 60's and helping to put on a car show and wanted my 37' at the show, but I had to be at a Cal. Air National Guard drill that week end so I hooked up the car & tow car and my Dad towed the car 4 blocks to the show and stayed with all day and towed it home safe & sound
This pic was taken in front of the School entry gates and the name had been taken down for some reason and left the wall blank

Albuquerque's "downtown" skyline in the background, we're not into tall buildings around here! The one right above the the vent window is the tallest in NM at 30 odd stories, my wife works on the top floor so I guess she stay's "higher" then most while working;). The building on the right is the old Santa Fe Railroad company hospital now converted to an upscale hotel. "Haunted" rooms are supposedly part of the charm.

Yea, I really like that car too. The roof line came out great. That Cushman Substation that Rainier Hooker posted is outstanding!
