This is my 59 Impala Custom Coupe, called "The Modified Antilope".

Born 1959 in Switzerland as a 4door Hardtop Coupe, it went to Eastern Europe (Czech Republic) in 1971 where it was driven till 2010. Being there, nearly every part was modified, replaced or misused, like in 81 when it got a Tatra 4banger with 4speed - of course, "Custom" interior or sheetmetal, axles and lots of Tesla electricals... Whatever.
I bought that car in 2014 as a non running project, had some ideas and some parts laying around...
Now thats how it looks like.

As you see, there are many Pontiac influences in it. Wheels, Chrome, Interior Style. I liked the idea of a factory SS with Pontiac based Performance parts, but then decided to go the custom route.

    Thanks!
Had a lot of fun with that car this year, lot of road trips, cruises and partys.
Fun to drive, as long as you have a black shirt on the dash... ;)

Just realized that the buildup was not visible. Changed that, so the pics should show up now. Enjoy!

Looks amazing. Hope the Pontiac roof donor was cheap.
I am trying to imagine some guy driving that thing around Czechoslovakia in the dark days of Communism. Must have got some strange looks.

Das gut! I like the way you added the 3rd brake light without it looking like a sore thumb. Thanks for sharing your Chevy with us.

These are funeral lights that i pulled out of a caprice hearse, i really liked the way they illuminate in the night. remided me somehow of those tube speaker grilles also.

The speaker grills are what came to mind first for me, also.
