    Damn! Looks great to me, the peckerheads love the stepped on look. It's a lot of work to do that on a 5 winder-Killer.

    I say build it the way you want it. Screw everyone else who doesn't like it.

    The only thing that would make it even more perfect is some nice shiny black paint

  8. I like the coupe well enough, I am not necessarily a hammered 5 window guy, personally for me it is east coast for a 5 window deuce. Channel and no chop, but it is refreshing to see and know that someone else can and does build one different than how I would do it.

    I tell people all the time to build their own cars that the car will reflect the builder. So this is a little insight into @harleycontracter he is just a hammered coupe guy. :cool:

    Damn it I went off on a tangent and forgot what I wanted to say, I would like a better look at the louver layout on the hood if you please or when you have time. ;)

    I dig it. Looks mean.... If you can drive it comfortable or if you just like looking at it whatever makes you happy! I could see myself enjoying the hell out of that thing!

    harleycontractor I don't remember you asking for donations before you started. I agree with HRP beautiful car I love it. having said I just know my decrepid old body at 67yo body if I got in I would never get out. and you are so right this is what makes hot rods

  13. Its the HAMB (or any other site, cruise or car show for that matter) you build it you show it and everyone has an opinion, to which they are entitled and isn't a problem as long as they are not assholes about it.

    You build things the way you see fit and let the chips fall where they may. ;)

  16. My granddad (his family settled first in Ella then in Wamic) used to say that you could say anything about anyone as long as it wasn't spoken in malice. Maybe it is a North Western sentiment. ;)

    Man, that chop is BAD ASS.

    Then it's a good thing we don't build them all the same, huh.

    I really like the look, I even see the '36 Torque tube headers poking out under the side which add a nice touch.

    I like it. I think if I was lucky enough to build one to my taste it would be a non-chopped full fendered, but that's just me. I like to check out all the variations though, they all have their own personality. After all...Baskins and Robbins didn't get rich by just selling chocolate and vanilla .

    @harleycontracter
    I'm gonna have an MRI tommorrow.
    I think I could suffer for a while in that coupe, even with my fu@& up neck.

  24. Getting that much of a chop to look right is very difficult. I have chopped a few. You did a great job! IMO

    The first picture does look a little "nosey", but the third and following ones show the car nicely. A hard chop is easy to like, but I don't know about living with it. But if you're happy, that's all that matters. And yes, as 3WL said, drop it in the front.
