Here's my '37 Chevy Master Coupe, original body, drivetrain, interior. I've logged almost 1,600 miles since June 2014, 98,212 miles! Everything works but the radio.

A few months ago I bought this 35 years on the road survivor. I buffed up the tired old paint and replaced the wooden dash panel added new carpet to replace the rotten piece also new wheels & tires. I had it on the market for a reasonable price. At least 3 people came to see the car and liked it, but walked away from it because it would cost too much to restore it, "So much for Survivors". I like it the way it is.

My details are fuzzy, but I know it was ran at the lakes in California in the 30's and 40's as a race car. In 41 or so, the then new 40 Ford they used as a support car was totaled, rolled I think, and the parts from that car, the 40, we're installed in the 32. Engine, transmission, steering column, brakes and such. It saw street duty after that. Then it got put away for many years. My friend heard about the car, and was able to buy it, brought it to Idaho 20 or so years ago. He would drive it once in awhile, but not much. He most certainly did not want to see it damaged in any way, plus it still has a plate glass windshield. I went through the brakes, cleaned the carb, and got it running again for him. Interesting note was finding it has a Packard master cylinder.

  19. Fabulous car. The steering column is newer than '40 Ford. It looks like a '41 or newer.
