New to the H.A.M.B and wanted to share what I brought back from Oklahoma and the progress on the build. I have always liked the look of the '34 Five Window Ford Coupe. My Daddy told me once that "Boy, you have a serious car problem." I have my hands full with this build and appreciated everyone's suggestions and idea's. MR CLEAN
Your in good company, there are several 33/34 5 windows being built, looks like you are making good progress. HRP
Welcome to the Hamb. You're moving along real well. I'm envious! I'm looking for a coupe (cabrio is for sale). Keep them pics coming. Tim
i trust you have seen this?http://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/33-34-ford-coupe-bodies.220372/
YUCK! I vote for chop the hell out of it and keep it fenderless. And put a really shiny big old engine of some type with a four speed!
Very, Very nice Truck Build I must say!!! The Plan for this build......Find some 34 Five Window Coupe Doors in better condition......any leads would be appreciated........Thinking no fenders, no Hood or Side Panels with a 3 inch chop, going with some things laying around the garage which include a 392 HEMI in front of a Doug Nash 5 speed with V-Gate Shifter and have it rolling on '35 Ford Spoke Wheels.
Thanks man. I appreciate it! Sounds like a good plan! Just to prepare you, You may catch some flack around here for the OHV engine paired with the wire wheels (from a historical timeline standpoint) but haterz gonna hate!
Welcome to the HAMB. I was going to chime in with some ideas on this as far as repair, but it looks like you are headed in the right direction with the work you have done to date. It is looking good. Nice choice on the floor pan as he makes a nice one and it fits good. As far as the hemi, go with what you want and the hell with what everyone thinks....It's your hot rod so build it like you want. I like your plan and you might think about a quick change for the back. Signed up for watching this one.
Nice looking build so far, nice looking floor pan too! 392 Chrysler is a great choice for the 34 All the ingredients for a Hell of a Hot Rod!
What a great project - I vote for the no chop with fenders approach on this one as well, but it is your car, and your plans sound like a wild machine is in the works - so go for it!.
