  1. Now that the Hamb tag toppers are once again available why not show them off? HRP

News to me also. South Carolina has been referred to as "The Iodine State" because of the large percentages of iodine found in the vegetation growing in the state.

I've had my topper for a few years now. Guess it's time to get off my ass and paint and install it , lol ! Gotta figure out a way to mount it, because I can't mount it on top of my plate, because my bumper overrider is in the way :( .

  5. Between 193o -1933 South Carolina's license plates displayed the iodine state to help promote the produce grown here, and your right the soil was rich in iodine and was known to prevent goiters,a swollen gland in the neck that was common back in the day.

Morton Salt company started adding iodine to the salt and the Iodine State campaign died a quick death.

BTW,those 3 words on the tags make these license plates expensive. HRP

  10. I saw one in Charlotte,N.C. at the Goodguy's show that the owner had cut the mount off and flipped the topper where it mounted from the top,it looked like the owner had used something like JB Weld to attach the mount.

So the topper was a bottomer. :D HRP

  11. I just ordered 2 one for car and one to save for next car. Stocked up on 1932 calender too.

  18. I needed to modify my topper and RICH B did the modification on his topper and made a bottomer. :D

I sent Rich a PM a while back asking him how he adapted his topper to mount on the bottom and said he sawed off the tab,cut a larger mounting from 1/8" aluminum, roughed up both surfaces and glued on the new tab with JB Weld .

Ordered mine this morning. I had a couple last run, but gave my (HAMB'ers) brother & dad one for Christmas...this year I shamelessly ordered myself Tag Topper & 1932-16 calendar.
I think these look great & I'm really hoping the 2016 HAMBAlliance brass timing tag is going to production.
hRP, thanks for enlarging my pic
